Flight Simulator detected in Google Earth

21 September 2007

The exploration of the Google Earth Globe is now possible via a Flight Simulator
Use the Shortcut Strg-Alt-A to start the simulator mode.
You can select the plane type (Jet Fighter F-16, Prop Airliner SR-22, ...) and the starting airport (New York, Hamburg, ...)

Use the arrow keys for control and the PageUp/PageDown keys for adjusting speed. You also need the G key to retract the undercarriage.
The faster the selected airplane the more you need to hit the Space key for pausing because of the inadequate loading times for the world buildup.

A first step for Google's Earth that enables a life-like experience in the virtual world.
